At Georg(ina), I create handmade capes designed to spark imagination, courage, and quiet moments of magic. Each piece is crafted slowly and thoughtfully — stitched, embellished, and finished by hand — because I believe childhood should feel whimsical, soft, and full of storybook wonder.

The name Georg(ina) carries a little piece of my heart. It comes from my daughter, Georgina — a name that holds both strength and softness. By framing it as Georg and Ina, the brand becomes something that belongs to every child, whether bold and adventurous or gentle and dreamy.

 

I’m Liezel — the maker behind the magic. I live in Stellenbosch, a mom to four wonderful children, and I spend my days working in finance. After years surrounded by numbers, I found myself craving a creative outlet… something gentle, joyful, and full of heart. Designing capes for little dreamers became the perfect blend of craftsmanship and imagination, and quickly grew into a space that feels like home.

 

I design every cape to feel like stepping into a small world of possibility: moonlit pearls, stardusted tulle, brave wings, rainbow stripes, and velvet enchantment. No superheroes here — just soft magic, dreamy textures, and pieces that let children feel brave, bold, curious, or quietly powerful in their own way.

 

Georg(ina) began with a simple desire to make something beautiful for little ones — and has grown into a place where imagination leads the way. Whether it’s a celestial shimmer or an adventurous pair of dragon wings, each cape is made to be treasured, played in, and passed on.
